Great British Bake Off starts TOMORROW with biscuit week!
Bread aficionado Paul Hollywood has revealed what working in the GBBO tent is really like since the popular baking series moved over to Channel 4 last year.
The show made the switch with new judge Prue Leith, and new hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, much to viewers' trepidation over change to their favourite baking competition.
Paul confessed: "I’m a tiny bit nervous at the beginning of every season of Bake Off and ask 'is this going to be the year it peaks?'."
But he says the atmosphere in the infamous tent is now better than ever.
He explained: "Bake Off World is akin to Teletubbies World - it’s this bubble that you live in. Everyone knows everybody - that’s the beauty of Bake Off. It’s a great feeling in there. I’m always first in, last out."
Paul has also revealed that GBBO will go 'back to basics' in this series.
He revealed: "I wanted to go back to basics to a point because I think leading up to last year, with some of the technical challenges, people said to me ‘don’t do that, I’ve never even heard of them!’ which is fair enough, because we want the general public to actually bake.
"So I think some of the challenges are very challenging, and others we just reigned it back a bit."
The silver-haired judge has also given a sneak comment on the first challenge in the series, which is all about biscuits.
He shared: "Some of the biscuits on Biscuit week were amazing.
"If I was a biscuit I’d be a ginger but, hard and crispy on the outside but - like some of the ones I’ve had recently - a little bit soft on the inside."
We can't wait to watch the first episode tomorrow, but whose cookie will be the the first to crumble?
