Strictly Come Dancing has only just appeared back on our screens but everyone’s favourite Frenchman, Fred Sirieix, has already put his hat in the ring for the next series and it’s something we’d love to see.

Speaking to exclusively Closer, Fred, 48, revealed that he would love to appear to the hit BBC show but said that whilst he enjoys dancing, he doesn’t have "much rhythm".

He admitted, “I’m a bit of a dad dancer. I don’t have any shame. I don’t think I would go very far on Strictly, but I would give it a good crack.”

WATCH ‘That’s weird!’ What has Curtis Pritchard been messaging AJ’s girlfriend?!

The First Dates host has always seemed very suave in our eyes, so we think he’d be alright.

And Fred wouldn’t be the first chef to appear on Strictly. He’d be following in the footsteps of Gary Rhodes, Ainsley Harriott, Dave Myers, Simon Rimmer and Greg Wallace… None of whom managed to get anywhere near the final… Who knows, maybe he’ll be the one to turn their luck around?

But it seems like he’ll have some competition in the form of The Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood who revealed that he had previously been asked to go on the BBC dance contest back in 2018 but had to pull out due to travel commitments for The Great American Baking Show, the US spin-off show of Bake Off.

Paul did however hint that he would be keen to take part in Strictly Come Dancing stating that ‘maybe one year’ he will join the reality competition as a contestant.

Sorry Paul, we love you as a judge, but we’d rather see Fred shimmy his stuff on the dance floor.
