Former Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie, who was infamously axed from the show, has been spotted in BBC One drama Bloodlands, which aired on Sunday night.
Viewers of the show noticed that the character Larry was being played by Asan and it was the first time seeing him back on screen since he was sacked in 2019.
Some of the viewers that watched Bloodlands took to social media to express their opinions, with one saying, "Great to see @ AsanNjie aka the real Ellis Chapman on tv again. #Bloodlands #Emmerdale".
And another wrote, "Is that the actor who used to be in Emmerdale? The one who was sacked? #Bloodlands".
Someone else tweeted, "It's the old Ellis from #Emmerdale 👏👏 #Bloodlands".
Asan, who played Ellis Chapman, was forced to leave Emmerdale following a fight with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, aka Warren Fox, at the TV Choice Awards.
It was reported that Asan was swearing and throwing punches towards Jamie - and according to The Mirror, he even threatened to "knife" Jamie.
Following the altercation Asan was suspended from the soap and later his contract was terminated.

Since the incident, Asan has spoken out and apologised for what had happened.
"My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable. I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.
"I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this," he added.
Asan began his role Ellis Chapman in Emmerdale in 2018, but had to leave the following year.
His character visited his mum - Jessie Grant - which was off-screen, but Ellis returned to the show a few months after and was recasted.
Ellis has since been taken over by Aaron Anthony, who has previously appeared in the BBC daytime drama Doctors and more recently in a Netflix thriller Behind Her Eyes.
