Billie Jackson unrecognisable

It’s been 12 long years since EastEnders’ Billie Jackson (Devon Anderson) tragically passed away on screen. Remembered for his cute afro as a tot to his troubled relationship with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).

He's the younger brother to Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and grandson to Pat Butcher (Pam St Clement) and who can forget the gut-wrenching scenes as his mum Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) made her way home through the Square to find him dead having chocked on his own vomit following a drunken party?

Well now Devon, who played the role on and off since he was just six years old, looks totally different.

And we love it.

Devon, also appeared in Hollyoaks as Sonny Valentine and even popped up in Spice World – yes really.

But now it seems he is concentrating on his Well Seasoned podcast that he hosts alongside musician SHAK OMAR.

His Instagram shows lots of clips from the show that is described as "Saucey, Spicey and sometimes a likkle bit salty.", where the duo chat amongst themselves as well as interviewing influencers and reality stars.

There are some familiar faces set to return to the soap this year after it was announced both Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf, replacing Danielle Westbrook) and Tiffany Butcher-Baker (Maisie Smith) would be heading home to Walford.

While Maisie only returned for short stint as part of Keegan Butcher-Baker’s (Zak Morris) exit story, Kim will be returning to the role of Sam full time.

The daughter of EastEnders legend Peggy Mitchell (the late Barbara Windsor) first appeared on the soap back in 1990 and was played by Danniella Westbrook but following her publicised battle with cocaine addiction, she was later replaced by Kim in 2002.

Speaking to The Sun Kim said, "When the BBC approached me last year to reprise the role of Sam I was thrilled. She's a brilliant character and I can't wait to get back in the Square and work with the amazing cast".

However Daniella, who briefly reprised the role back in 2016, wasn't happy with the news and on GB News the actress said that she found out about the role being recast in the news.

"There wasn’t even an email to my agent. I was shocked because they do have a responsibility to tell me and someone should have," she admitted.

Not one to mince her words Daniella told Mark that the role of Sam was now dead to her.

"I'm looking to the future. EastEnders was great, I grew up in front of the nation. But it's in the past. I am so RIP Sam Mitchell" .
