Disney Pixar fans, there won’t be anymore sequels after 2019

Well this is just horrible news.

WALL-E

Now, everyone loves a good sequel, Pixar have even released a few: Toy Story two and three, Monsters University and Finding Dory.

However, it appears that there are no plans to create any sequels after The Incredibles 2 which is due to be released in 2019.

This is devastating news - how are we to cope?

Entertainment Weekly spoke to Pixar’s president Jim Morris who confessed: "Our business model is a filmmaker model, and we don’t make a sequel unless the director of the original film has an idea that they like and are willing to go forward."

He added that the director of Inside Out, Ratatouille and himself (who produced WALL-E) do not have any plans for a sequel.

Morris did admit that he would like to revisit WALL-E, he said: "It would be good to back and visit that world and let everyone know that the humans actually survived again after getting back to their burnt-out planet.

"But that was really a love story that had its beginning, middle, and end, so we’re not really planning any further stories in those worlds at this point."

Even though there are no talks of anymore sequels, if Pixar films have taught us anything it’s to never give up.

Luckily we do have a few sequels to look forward to that are coming out over the next few years:

Finding Dory - July 19

This film is being released 13-years after Finding Nemo.

Cars 3 - 2017

The first movie came out in 2006 and the sequel came out in 2011.

Toy Story 4 - 2018

The first film was released back in 1995, followed by the second film in 1999. The third film was released 11-years later in 2010.

The Incredibles 2 - 2019

We’ve been waiting a long time since the first movie - which kind of ended on a cliff hanger - was released in 2004.
