Danny Mac facts
-
Danny Mac once starred as an uderstudy for the character Boq in the hit magical musical, Wicked, for two years before he joined the cast of Hollyoaks. Probably where he learnt to defy gravity (geddit) with his pure and utter talent - and really good one-handed handstands.
-
Danny once joined co-star Stephanie Davis for a bedazzling performance of 'Forget You' by Cee Lo Green for Children In Need.
-
He's won Sexiest Male at the British Soap Awards SIX TIMES. Obviously.
Danny Mac and Carley Stenson
These two gorgeous Hollyoaks folk have been in a relationship since 2011, after meeting on set and getting on like a house on fire. They've been together for nearly five years and got engaged earlier this year.
Carley even moved down to London for Danny's Strictly Come Dancing stint, desperate to avoid any of those pesky 'Strictly Curse' rumours.
It's just as well really, as Carley was fell victim to the 'curse' back in 2009 when her then boyfriend Ricky Whittle grew close to dancer Natalie Lowe.
Speaking to The Sun about their solid relationship, Danny revealed:
"I talk to Carley about any job and we decide what’s good for us, about where we’re going to live and how long for.
"Doing Strictly was a positive thing. We both live in London while I’m doing this.
"We’ve been together five years, we’re engaged and past relationships don’t really have an effect upon us, so we’re just looking forward."
We can't wait for the wedding, guys!
Danny Mac as "Dodger"
Danny's most famous role to date was Mark "Dodger" Savage in Hollyoaks. His first on-screen appearence in 2011 saw him introduced as part of the Savage family.
Some of Dodger's main storylines included him discoverig that Dirk Savage was not his biological father (Patrick Blake is), his relationship with Theresa McQueen and having a relationship with his stepmother Maxine Minniver. Plus so much more.
Could Danny Mac be poised for a Hollyoaks return? Time will only tell...
Can Danny Mac sing?
He sure can! And he has one hell of a good voice. He's truly got it all. Swoooooon.

Danny Mac on Strictly Come Dancing
Danny Mac and dance partner Oti Mabuse are currently the top favourites to win Strictly - despite a public backlash that deemed his place in the competition 'unfair' as he was believed to be musically dance trained.
Danny hit back at his critics, sassily stating: "I wasn’t employed in Wicked as a dancer and I’ve never danced on stage before.
"I was employed as an understudy for four years and was there to sing.
"I’m here to do something I’ve never done before — ballroom and Latin dancing."
Touche.
Danny and Oti have been consistent throughout the popular dance competition, regulary topping the leaderboard with magical scores from the judges.
However, the pair did suffer a blip while performing their Foxtrot during Halloween week. Danny was devastated when he "just went blank" mid routine.
In true professional style, Danny and Oti pulled it back, wowing viewers with their Argentine Tango and their impeccable Charleston that won them straight tens from the judges!
