Resident Strictly Come Dancing villain Craig Revel Horwood has revealed that he thinks new head judge Shirley Ballas has taken his crown this year.

Craig, who has been judging on Strictly since its first episode in 2004, came under fire at the weekend after scoring fan-favourite Aston Merrygold a four out of 10.

Viewers were convinced that Craig's "mean" score was a factor in Aston being sent home from the competition - despite being a contender to win the show outright.

And even though it was head judge Shirley Ballas' ruling that sent Aston home, Craig has also come under fire from fans for his part in the drama.

But it seems that Craig is trying to shift the blame onto his fellow panellist, after he told The Sun that Shirley was taking his place as villain this year on the show.

He said: "Shirley is this year’s villain. She’s frighteningly technical with her criticism, and I know the audience might struggle with that."

Hmm... Stop trying to shift the spotlight, Craig!

He added: "We didn't put him in the bottom two, the audience did.

"That's rubbish. I gave a list of what was wrong with it on the night. And Mollie did a better dance in the dance-off."

But that wasn't all - the Australian native then hit back at Twitter users who were slamming him on the site.
