Customers at the coffee shop in New York were horrified when a woman flew into a rage and sent a man flying through in the air without making any physical contact after he spilled coffee on her laptop.
The woman also appeared to send tables and chairs across the room with her apparent magical powers.
The scene was later revealed as an elaborate hoax by promotional stunt team Thinkmodo. The stunt crew and cast of actors spent a day rigging the coffee shop, installing a false wall and fitting remote-control devices to chairs and tables as well as spring-loading books on shelves.
The video, dubbed ‘Telekinetic Coffee Shop Surprise’, is a promotion for upcoming horror remake ‘Carrie’ - starring Chloe Grace Moretz as a tortured teen who discovers she has paranormal powers to exact revenge on her high school bullies.
