It’s hard to imagine Love Island without Iain Stirling hilariously narrating as a group of sassy, single civilians couple up in Spanish paradise, but back when the show first launched it was very different indeed.

Back in 2005, the show was hosted by Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook and involved celebrities including Calum Best and Bianca Gascoigne heading to Fiji to try and find love with each other. It only lasted for two series before being axed and brought back 10 years later as the show we know and love, but it’s thought that show bosses are considering reviving a celebrity edition of the show after huge success of the reboot.

“It’s a no-brainer to bring back the celebrity version. It will mean they can air two series a year – a regular one and a celebrity one,” a source told the Daily Star on Sunday.

They continued: “It’s an easy format to slot celebs into, and the villa and location are available in January so ITV are costing everything up and speaking to sponsors,” suggesting that the celebrity version of the show could hit our screens in the winter months.

Two series of Love Island a year would be AMAZING.

The latest series is just 24 hours away and we can’t wait, especially after seeing what the new Love Island villa looks like.

The luxury villa, which is located in Mallorca, has been upgraded from last year's show, and has been given a stunning new makeover!

The villa is situated high up in the hills, on the outskirts of a small town called Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. It even boasts the biggest private pool in the Balearics, perfect for the Islanders to cool off from all of the drama.

And just like last year, the villa includes a number of luxuries, including an infinity pool, hot tub, outdoor gym, outdoor kitchen and fire pit.

Very nice!
