We were absolutely delighted when Renée Zellweger won best actress for her role as Judy Garland at the BAFTAs. But the best part of the evening? When Hugh Grant, presenting the award for best film, brought back the Bridget Jones nostalgia, congratulating Renée by saying, "Well done Jones."
Then adding, in true Daniel Cleaver style, "That was a very, very silly little dress."
As if that wasn’t enough, he also mentioned his on-screen love rival Mr Darcy, also known as Colin Firth, saying he only ever votes when he’s trying to prevent him winning. Our hearts.

It was an eventful night at the BAFTAs, where Brad Pitt won best supporting actor for his role in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood – but, as he was a last-minute no-show, Margot Robbie had to read his acceptance speech.
Via Margot, he joked about Brexit, saying, "Hey Britain, heard you just became single, welcome to the club. Hope you get the best of the divorce settlement."
And at the end of the speech, Margot said{
"He said he’s naming this Harry because he’s really excited about bringing it back to the States for him."
As the camera panned to Kate and Wills, Margot insisted that they were Brad's words and not hers.

Rebel Wilson also gave a cracking speech, taking aim at Prince Andrew, coronavirus, Cats – and the absence of female directors nominated.
Reading a list of the men nominated, she said, "I honestly don't think I could do it, I don't have the balls."
(The award went to Sam Mendes for 1917.)
Rebel, who was wearing a contrast black and red sequin dress from Prabal Gurung, added, "The red is from that one time I didn’t win Miss Australia. And the black is from a funeral I just went to for the feature film Cats."
