“It’s a FIX!” Strictly fans LIVID after Aston axed

Aston Merrygold was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend, leaving fans absolutely furious.

Aston, who was the bookies' favourite to win the show overall, fell into the bottom two at the weekend after receiving some of the fewest public votes, along with The Saturdays singer Mollie King, who was also in the dance-off last weekend.

The JLS popstar, who was paired with Janette Manrara, performed a 70s-themed Viennese Waltz, which unfortunately did not impress the viewers or the judges - with Craig Revel-Horwood scoring them a measly four.

The couple were then voted off by head judge Shirley Ballas after she sided with Craig, who had also opted to save Mollie and her partner AJ Pritchard and going against Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli who voted to save Aston and Janette.

Of course, horrified viewers of the show took to Twitter to slam the show, saying it was a fix after an interview with Aston over the weekend revealed that he would be ready to quit the show if his girlfriend went into labour.

He told The Mirror: "If I got to the final it would be amazing, it would be great, but what if suddenly her waters broke?

"If that happens then I’m not going to finish the dance. I’ll be straight out, grab the bag, let’s go. I’m prepared."

Twitter users were left wondering whether it had been orchestrated that Aston would leave after he made those comments.

Oh dear... Awks!
