Alex Beresford has spoken of the Dancing On Ice challenges he faces after nearly falling over and injuring himself.
The Good Morning Britain weatherman is set to appear on the ITV show, which last aired in 2014, when it makes a comeback in January.
But he isn’t finding some aspects of the training easy and nearly landed himself in trouble when practicing lifts with his professional partner Brianne Delcourt.
During a weather report on Alex’s breakfast television show, host Susanna Reid joked: “Ice warning for you.”
The meteorologist replied: “It’s an ice warning for me everyday!”
He added: “We are mostly practising them off the ice at the moment. I have done one lift on the ice - the coach was literally behind me as I nearly…”, prompting presenter Ben Shephard to chime in: “Went backwards?”
Alex confessed: “Fell backwards,” before explaining: “You really have to set your legs and bend your knees.
“And when you do the lifts you have to pop up and take them up slow.”
Dancing on Ice last appeared on television in 2014 but is returning to screens on January 7 next year.
Stars set to take part in addition to Alex include Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton and his co-star Brooke Vincent, singer Cheryl Baker, former X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden and Love Island winner Kem Cetinay amongst others.
