Alesha Dixon has been confirmed as the celebrity guest judge to join Louis Walsh at the judges’ houses stage of the competition.
With her experience as a Britain’s Got Talent judge, and, of course, as a successful pop singer, she’ll no doubt be a great asset.
But in an interview with RSPCA’s Animal Hero Awards she joked that she can’t be held fully accountable for Louis’ decisions. “Louis is crazy, we had such a laugh, I tried to advise him but I can’t be held responsible,” she said.
Another guest judge has also been announced, with Calvin Harris taking to Snapchat to reveal that he’ll be accompanying Nicole Scherzinger in her villa in Nice.
According to the Daily Mail, Calvin was approached directly by Simon Cowell due to his “phenomenal chart success.” This comes despite his unceremonious history with the show.
In 2009 when attending the show to perform alongside Rihanna, Calvin reportedly “offended” producers by running on stage with a pineapple on his head during a performance by twin act Jedward.
He was rumoured to have been issued with a lifetime ban but as they say, money - or, in this case - massive success, talks.
We’re looking forward to seeing who will be joining judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne! Any guesses as to who they might invite on to be their confidantes?
Along with the usual tears, drama and excitement, there’s some new twists on the show, too. This year, Nicole, Simon, Sharon and Louis will be able to choose a wildcard act for their fellow judges to add to their six Judges Houses contestants.
A source told The Mirror: "We love adding new twists and it was felt that introducing wildcard acts earlier in the series would liven things up and make the show edgier."
