It’s been a while since we’ve seen former TOWIE star Yazmin Oukhellou on our screens after she quit the show that made her famous for a new life in Dubai, but she’s reportedly set to make a huge TV comeback.
It’s claimed that Yaz, who last appeared on TOWIE last year, has signed up to appear on the next series of MTV’s Celeb Ex on the Beach – following in the footsteps of her ex-boyfriend James Lock, who took part in the show last year.
According to a TV insider, Yaz has signed up to the reality show in a bid to “forget her troubles” after a difficult year following the death of her boyfriend Jake McLean in a tragic car crash in Turkey.
They explained, “Yazmin has had a hellish year - she lost her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean in a car crash that also saw her having to undergo surgery while grieving his death.
“She also recently lost her friend Dean in a motorcycle accident and has been dealing with all of that devastation.”
The source told The Sun, “When the offer for Celebrity Ex On The Beach came along, she felt like she needed to turn the page and do something that was just going to be fun and let her forget all her troubles.
“There’s sure to be drama but after everything Yaz has been through, it’s just the distraction she needs."
A spokesperson for Celeb Ex on the Beach had no comment, while Yazmin’s representatives hadn’t responded at the time of publication.
Earlier this year, Yazmin revealed how she’d launched a new career as a luxury real estate agent in Dubai after leaving Essex behind.
“Now I’ve made that full commitment to put my heart and soul into real estate in Dubai, I absolutely love it. There’s people out here making six, seven figures a month. It’s crazy; the property market has never been as big as it is now out here. It’s mad,” she told her Instagram followers at the time.
“You’ve got to be extremely tenacious, extremely resiliant, but fingers crossed I’ve got what it takes. I thought it was going to be all Selling Sunset, but it’s not. I’m definitely excited for what the future holds.”
