They had a tough start to their marriage following rumours of Andy Carroll’s infidelity, and now it seems former TOWIE star Billi Mucklow has had enough.
An insider tells Closer, ‘Billi thought long and hard about ending her relationship with Andy, but ever since his stag do Billi has struggled to trust him.
‘She got married because she felt she owed it to their children to give the relationship one last chance, but she realised the trust had gone and she wasn’t truly happy.’
Having secretly split in July, Andy, 35, and Billi’s marriage officially lasted just two years, however the pair nearly didn’t make it down the aisle after the footballer – who is thought to have already moved on with celebrity make-up artist Lou Teasdale – was pictured with two women in his bed, as he lay passed out following his stag do back in May 2022.
Billi, 34, reportedly only forgave her partner after one of the women confirmed that nothing sexual had occurred.
Andy and Billi – who share kids Arlo, nine, Wolf, six, and Marvel Mae, four, while Andy also has two children, Emilie, 14, and Lucas, 13, from his previous relationship with Faye Johnstone – met in 2013, before getting engaged a year later.
The source concludes, ‘Billi wants it to be as amicable as possible for the sake of the kids. She wants to be in his older children’s lives as well, having been their stepmum for so long. She’s so close to them and treats them like they’re her own.
‘At the moment, Billi isn’t concerned about dating but when she’s ready, she’s vowed never to date a footballer again – it’s too much hassle.’
