Former TOWIE star Billi Mucklow and her footballer husband Andy Carroll have announced that they are divorcing after two years of marriage.
Billi and Andy tied the knot in 2022 in a lavish ceremony at the five-star Four Seasons hotel in Hampshire after getting engaged eight years prior.
But, just two years after their wedding, the couple have separated amid reports that they’ve ‘grown apart’.
‘Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings,’ Andy, who has previously played for England, said in a statement.
‘It has been a hard few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.’
It’s believed that Billi and Andy split in July and filed the legal papers for their divorce earlier this month.
A source close to the couple told The Sun, ‘Andy and Billi care about each other a lot and have made some great memories together, but decided it was best for the family if they went their separate ways having grown apart.
‘They’re still focusing on the kids and being the best parents they can be and being respectful of each other.
‘They want the process to be straightforward for everyone involved. Andy has been throwing himself into his football.’
Billi and Andy first started dating in 2013, the same year she quit TOWIE, and they got engaged in 2014 when he proposed in Rome.
At the time, Billi said, ‘He is one of the most genuine and caring people I have ever met.’
They have three children aged nine, six and four, while Andy also has two children, aged 15 and 14, from a previous relationship.
