It seems that, in 2023, there are more reality TV shows and stars than EVER – not that we’re complaining, of course – so it’s no surprise that some have appeared on telly on more than one occasion.

It’s actually more of a surprise when someone manages to keep a previous telly appearance under wraps, which is why we were STUNNED when we recently realised that Married At First Sight UK’s Amy Christophers had been on TOWIE way back when.

During a recent chinwag with Closer online, Amy let slip that she’d appeared on TOWIE back in her glamour modelling days when she went by the name of Brandy Brewer and looked very different.

In the throwback scene, a very blonde Amy can be seen serving drinks to Mick Norcross, Charlie King and Chris Drake as they enjoy a night out on the town.

Speaking exclusively to us about her TOWIE cameo, Amy said, “Despite being from Cornwall, Essex kinda adopted me as their own. They would include me in their Essex Power List, which was always really flattering.”

She continued, “I spent a lot of time there in my model days, and became friendly with Mick, he always put on great parties and was such a lovely guy. He always had time for everyone.

“One time at Sugar Hut back in 2012 he and the show’s producers persuaded me and a mate to be on the show.”

Although producers wanted her to make further appearances on the show, Amy decided against it.

She explained, “We only did one episode and despite being invited back, it didn’t feel the right fit for me.”

She may not have become known as a TOWIE star, but Amy continued to dabble in reality TV. She attempted to win over Spencer Matthews on The Bachelor (before Vogue Williams made an honest man of him) in 2012 before rising to prominence on the explosive new format of Married At First Sight UK in 2021.

Since then, Amy has forged a career as a sports TV presenter and worked on huge events like Royal Ascot and the Women's Six Nations.
