He’s already taken part in I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, and now Mike Tindall is being tipped to do Strictly Come Dancing – alongside his wife Zara Tindall.
The former England rugby player finished fourth in the jungle in 2022, and if one ex-Strictly pro gets her way, he could become the first member of the royal family to show off his dancing skills.
Erin Boag – who was a professional on the BBC show from 2004 to 2012 – would love Mike to sign up for next year’s show, and even wants to persuade his wife to do it too.
When asked who she would like to see take part in Strictly, Erin replied, ‘I feel like we need to get some big names in there, some really big names - I think it would be great. Someone from the royal family would be nice - the Tindalls would be great and it’s on their radar. Mike Tindall, or even better - Mike Tindall versus Zara Tindall. It wouldn’t be the first married couple as Gabby and Kenny Logan did it.'
Erin, 49, is also rooting for another former I’m A Celeb star to take part - boxer Barry McGuigan after they danced together in the Christmas special in 2011.
Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, she said, ‘The great thing about Barry McGuigan and his background is he was very nimble and very quick and actually quite a good dancer. So he would be great. It's nice to see him back doing it. We've had boxers and we've had boxers. I mean, you had Joe Calzaghe, and I was expecting the best from him. I was disappointed. He had no coordination. But somebody like Barry McGuigan, he would be great. I know he's in the 60s but he is fit and smart. He would know how to train, and he'd also be very, very likeable.’
