The judges – and the audience – were see how similar Jamie, 25, was to host Olly Murs… and that was before he started singing!

When Jamie, from Northampton, did attempt to sing original song Dance All Night, Simon Cowell stopped it almost immediately, claiming it was a rip-off of Olly's hit Dance With Me Tonight.

Although they agreed with Simon, 55, the rest of the judges put Jamie through to the next round – and the music mogul cheekily joked that Olly should change his locks!

But Jamie has insisted he's not trying to copy Olly, 31, and that the similar song titles were simply a coincidence.

He told new! magazine: "I was just sad that Simon didn't give me that yes. It is his show and I was here to impress him, but I took on board what they said. I want to show him that I'm Jamie Benkert."

Jamie admitted there are positives to being compared to Olly, who is one of The X Factor's most successful acts.

He continued: "I take away from that the good parts – the cheeky chappy side, the popular side, people like him for who he is and his aura."
