The 38-year-old joined her former Spice Girls band mate as she selected the boys she would be taking through to the live shows.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Emma said: "It was incredible. I don't like to be away from my children for too long so I was there for 72 hours."
While Emma and Mel, 39, were only together for a short while, that didn't stop them getting a bit boozy.
Emma continued: "It was amazing to be with Mel, it was great fun. We had a little bit of tequila when we were there, it was really good."

But obviously Emma was there to do a job, and she praised Mel's boys, including Jake Quickenden and Paul Akister.
She said: "The boys that she has were brilliant and it was just very tough. She has a great group."
Viewers this weekend will see Jake, Paul, Jordan Morris, Danny Deardan and Jack Walton battle it out to become one of Mel's final three.
Cheryl, assisted by Tinie Tempah, will be in Nice with the girls, Louis Walsh and Tulisa are in Antigua with the groups and Simon Cowell and the over 25s, along with Sinitta, of course, are in LA.
But it might not only be the final 12 who make it through to the live shows. In a new twist, the judges are said to be picking each other's wildcard acts, who will then join the other contestants.
