After turning up on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway hand in hand with his new wife, one guy had ended up getting himself in quite a pickle...
Helen Gundy, who was under the impression her ‘husband’ was in Dubai, saw the man she’d been married to for 17 years, David Gundy parading around on the telly with another women he referred to as his wife.
Just after the episode aired, Helen took to the show’s Facebook page to express her shock and disbelief.
She wrote: "I loved the wedding and the surprised guests - I didn't love the sight of my husband who's supposed to be working in Dubai arriving on the arm of another woman, a woman he's supposed to have split from last year.
"We have a 15-year-old daughter who's in absolute bits."
Fellow commenters were quick to dismiss her claims though, labelling her a ‘bitter ex.’
Although they apparently parted ways in 2010, his former lover insisted there was no official divorce, meaning legally they are stil husband and wife.
Helen told The Mirror newspaper:
"There was never a divorce. We were separated until a year ago when he convinced me to get back together."
But a spokesperson for ITV told The Sun:
"I have spoken to Daniel and he has actually been married to his current wife for two years and separated from Helen for six."
But angry Helen went on to report him to the police for bigamy. A spokesperson from Cheshire Police confirmed:
“We are investigating reports of bigamy. Enquiries are ongoing."
