One thing for sure is, there's lots to entertain yourself with on the box; including a familiar face returning to BBC drama Casualty, as well as highlights of one of Britain's biggest musical festival in case you're missing out.

In the event of Euro 2016 being shown however, some TV schedules are subject to change.

Celebrity Masterchef – 8:30pm on BBC1

Ah, we do get excited when there’s a new MasterChef on the horizon, especially when the celebs sashay into the kitchen. This series we welcome the likes of Simon Webbe, Sid Owen, Tina Malone, Laila Morse, Strictly’s Gleb (yes please!) and Amy Childs.

Sinitta was the first to leave the competition on Wednesday night’s episode, when she served up a raw lamb and aubergine monstrosity.

Oscar Pistorius: The Interview - 9pm on ITV

Mark Williams-Thomas – the investigative reporter behind The Other Side Of Jimmy Savile (which helped expose the late presenter as a paedophile) interviews Paralympian Oscar Pistorius as he prepares to return to jail for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day 2013.

Pistorius has always claimed he thought she was a robber hiding in their bathroom at home. Mark has spent time in South Africa looking at the case, and after the original conviction of culpable homicide was overturned by South Africa’s Supreme Court, this will feature both sides of the argument so viewers can decide for themselves whether or not they support Pistorius’ version of events.

Glastonbury 2016 – 10 and 11:15pm on BBC2

For those of us who don’t own Hunter wellies and can’t be bothered to schlep to Somerset to sleep in a tent, there’s this alternative – the BBC’s marvellous coverage of the biggest and best music fest.

The likes of Chris Evans, Dermot O’Leary, Lauran Laverne, Cerys Matthews and Alice Levine bring us round-the-clock coverage on BBC1, 2 and 4 across the weekend. And there’s a great line-up, too – Adele (woo!), Coldplay, Foals, Beck, New Order, Jess Glynne and for the oldies, ELO and ZZ Top. Time to rock out in your living room again!

The Graham Norton Show - 10.35pm on BBC1

The release date of the amazeballs sounding Ab Fab movie is almost upon us (July 1 – diary it!) and of course the royalty that is Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders (aka Patsy and Edina) are gracing Graham’s sofa first. They’re joined by Rebel Wilson talking about Guys and Dolls, and tunes come from Iggy Pop. Great line-up!

Gogglesprogs – 8pm on Channel 4

This could fast become our fave show of the week. The Gogglebox kids are back on their sofas giving us their chucklesome reviews of this week’s TV. Bring it on!

Life Of Pi - 8pm on Channel 4

A “visual masterpiece” said everyone, when this was launched onto the public in 2012. It’s about a young man called Pi, who survives a disaster at sea. While shipwrecked, he forms a connection with other survivors – who so happen to be a tiger, a zebra, an orangutan and a hyena. Adrift and getting hungry, Pi needs to find a way to survive. Rather him than us…

Glastonbury 2016 – Sat 25 & Sun 26 June, BBC2 / BBC4

The Beeb are bringing us Glasto highlights all weekend, building up to the biggy: Adele on stage on Saturday night. On Sunday from 6.30pm, BBC2 and BBC4 is where it’s at, with Coldplay closing this year’s set.

The Railway Man - 9pm on Channel 4

Based on the outstanding bestselling autobiography, this is the true story of Eric Lomax (Colin Firth), a British Army officer who was tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during WWII, leaving him traumatised and shut away from the world. Decades later and now with beautiful missus Patti (it’s Nicole Kidman) he sets out to confront the man who caused him so much pain – but will his wife stand by him, whatever he does?

The Sixth Sense - 11.20pm on Channel 4

Harley Joel Osment is the sweet little boy who has a terrible time being haunted by visitations from dead people. He is too afraid to tell anyone about his anguish, except lovely child psychologist Dr Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis), who has an alarming secret of his own involving this film’s brilliant twist.

Runaway Bride - 1.30pm on Channel 4

A reporter (that’d be Richard Gere) is assigned to write a story about a woman who has left a string of fiancés at the alter. And the bride is? Julia Roberts – yes, his Pretty Woman from 1990.

Casualty - 9.25pm on BBC1

Not only is this the mammoth 1,000th episode of Casualty, but original cast member Cathy Shipton will be returning as Duffy, which is just too exciting.

“Yes, I think I can remember the way,” says Duffy the midwife when the blower goes on her ward and she’s asked to trot along to Holby EU to help the team save a mother and her unborn child. “Don’t test me!” she barks when some bickering is going on. Love it! Prepare for a weepy storyline however, and a fab huggy moment when Duffy and Charlie are reunited

Messages Home: Lost Films Of The British Army - 8pm on Channel 4

This fascinating one-off features heart-warming clips, discovered in a Manchester basement and recorded by soldiers serving in WWII. Many had been away for years, concerned that their children would no longer recognise them. And in some heartbreaking cases, the soldier had died by the time the message got back home.
