Friday 17th June
Orange Is The New Black – Netflix (New Series)
Summer’s practically here, bringing with it one of the most talked about TV shows of recent times. If we tell you what happens in episode one, we would likely have to get one of those bad-ass Litchfield lasses to work their ‘magic’ on you (gulp). But we can reveal life in the prison is about to change – cue a tonne more inmates, and not enough staff to deal with matters, oh dear. Plus Piper Chapman is now a “gangsta” (with an ‘A’), still flogging her knickers. Oh, and Red is set to have an “interesting relationship” with Sam, ooh…
Gogglesprogs - 8pm on Channel 4 (New Series)
It started out as a festive special last year, and did so well it’s now back for a full series (hurrah). Last time we had the little’uns getting teary over the Bake Off win, the boys were subjected to Frozen, and there was talk of borrowing money from the Queen… Needless to say, this is bursting with super cuteness and plenty more gems as the kiddywinks once more get to veg out in front of the telly.
Eurotrash - 9pm on Channel 4
If you’re of a particular age you’ll remember Eurotrash – that 90s late-night staple that celebrated the weird and the wonderful from Europe (um, mostly sex and porn stars, let’s be fair) presented by the eccentric, cheerful French chap Antoine De Caunes, with sidekick Jean Paul Gaultier (yep, the fashion designer). Happily, it’s back for a one-off to show us what we’ll be missing if the vote goes the Brexit way. Ooh-la-la!
The Graham Norton Show - 10.35pm on BBC1
Graham’s here with a Ghostbusters special, with one-time Bridesmaids pals Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are on the guestlist, along with famous hell-raiser Charlie Sheen!
The Millionaire’s Holiday Club - 9pm on BBC2
In part two of this docu about wadded folk who go on nice holidays, Richard is busy plotting a proposal to his other half Martyn, and travel agent Kate is being sent to Thailand to see how the other half live. Meanwhile, retired Peter and Christine continue to ‘spend the kids’ inheritance’ on fancy trips away. Nice.
Saturday 18th June
Sleepy Hollow – 9pm on E4
It’s 1799 and Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, the culprit being the legendary ‘Headless Horseman’ - a freaky apparition. This is great, and also stars a young Cristina Ricci as the witchcraft-loving daughter of a wealthy farmer.
Along Came Polly - 7.15pm on ITV2
Ben Stiller plays Reuben (great name), who discovers (on his honeymoon) that his wife has been cheating on him. Back home, he bumps into old school friend Polly Prince (Jennifer Aniston) and comes up with lots of entertaining ways about how to make her fall for him.
Sunday 19th June
Educating Joey Essex: What Eu Saying? - 8pm on ITV2
This week, Joey is getting to the bottom of the nitty gritty surrounding this week’s European Referendum – a subject close to his heart, no less. But can the man who did actually think Richard and Judy created the world get to grips with European policy in time to vote yes or no? We think we know the answer to that one, but let’s watch him attempting to chat to Jeremy Corbyn, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage – and see their faces fall…
Top Gear - 8pm on BBC2
Show four sees Bear Grylls and Brian Cox do the speed demon thing as the Stars In A Rally Cross Car, while Chris gets very excitable testing out the most powerful Astin Martin of all time.
I, Robot - 9pm on Film4
This 2004 classic is set in a future earth (2035 and er, only 19 years away now, yikes) and stars Will Smith as a cop by the not so cool name of Detective Spooner who thinks one of the trendy new robot beings - pretty much found in every household - are to blame for a crime he is investigating. It so happens that these robots are super creepy and rather life-like, and frankly we’ll do our own chores thanks. Of course, everything hits the fan, big style.
