Whether it's raining or not, it's always nice to sit down in front of the telly with your family for a bit of entertainment at the weekend.

We've listed what we think is worth a watch below:

Friday 16th September

Would I Lie To You?
©BBC

Hooten and the Lady - 9pm on Sky 1 (New Series)

Like a modern day Indiana Jones, this new adventure series stars Michael Landes (Jimmy Olsen in The New Adventures Of Superman) as a maverick adventurer, with Ophelia Lovibond (surely born to be a star with that name) as his beautifully spoken partner-in-crime. They travel the globe in search of hidden treasures and have a lot of fun in the process.

DYK? In one clip, Hooten (Landes) finds himself in a particularly sticky situation – strung up completely naked. Awks.

Would I Lie To You? - 8.30pm on BBC1

Great fun for a Friday night, celebs Sara Cox, Jason Manford, Nick Robinson and Harry Shearer share some anecdotes, and team captains Lee Mack and David Mitchell has to guess who is telling porkies. Rob Brydon oversees the whole thing.

Saturday 17th September

Toy Story 3

The X Factor - Saturday at 8pm / Sunday at 7.30pm on ITV

It’s time to say ‘see ya’ to the sob stories (although this being The X Factor, we’re sure they’ll manage to squeeze in one or two others) - and get down to business. It’s Boot Camp, where Simon and co get to crack the whip a bit, and find out whether any genuine stars are lurking in the hopefuls.

DYK? This year’s Boot Camp took place at Alexander Palace in North London. Last year Simon got cross when some hopefuls hit the free bar and got drunk, never to be heard of again…

Knocked Up - 10.45pm on ITV

Straight-laced and super sensible Alison (Katherine Heigl) finds herself with child after an unfortunate one-night stand with the not so suitable baby daddy Ben (Seth Rogan). Cue complete panic, followed by a most entertaining nine months we’re sure many first time parents can relate to. Come on boys, admit it - we all know you’ve been freaked out at the idea of rumpy pumpy with a preggers lady…

**DYK? **The film was originally going to be a follow up to The 40-Year Old Virgin with Seth Rogan reprising his same role.

Toy Story 3 - 5.30pm on BBC1

With their beloved Andy leaving for college, Woody, Buzz Lightyear and co find themselves in a bin bag in the attic, awks. Even worse – they mistakenly end up on the pavement with the trash (read: rubbish, this is an American film). Woody’s quick thinking saves the day – but not before the gang end up being shipped to a day-care centre, and we all know how bad that’s going to be!

Sunday 18th September

Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls

Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls - 9pm on Channel 4 (New Series)

It was only a matter of time before a celebrity version of this great show came along – and here it is, all part of C4’s mammoth annual fundraiser Stand Up To Cancer. We can’t wait to see how the likes of MIC’s Ollie Locke, Karen Danczuk, TOWIE’s Lydia Bright and comic Dom Joly will fare trying to get their act together sans pampering on a Pacific island in the middle of nowhere.

This unlikely bunch are joined by rugby ace Thom Evans, Dr Dawn Harper, JLS’ Aston Merrygold, The Hotel’s Mark Jenkins, Zoe Salmon and comic Josie Long for some larks, Bear Grylls-stylee. Now, who’s going to be first to skin a crocodile…?

DYK? The celeb version will be much the same as the regular series, but will last only two weeks. They’ll be left stranded on an uninhabited island in the Pacific, which just the clothes they’re wearing and a handful of basic tools (yikes!)

Poldark - 9pm on BBC1

What’s this? Cracks appearing in Ross and Demelza’s relationship? Surely not? Well, surely yes because this week over at Poldark there’s all sorts of gnashing of teeth when The Hunky One throws himself into his business ventures, telling his wife “I leave for Truro!” a bit too often for her liking.

And when he is home, flirting with his ex doesn’t help matters. The fact that Demelza is carrying his child proves to be a bit of a sticking point – when’s the right time to tell him? And will he blow his lovely-looking top?
