Of course, the Channel 5 reality show’s live eviction is not to be missed – but there’s an array of films and a few other shows that will definitely take your fancy this weekend too.

Friday 10 June

Big Brother Live Eviction - 9pm on Channel 5

Big Brother Sophie Kasaei

Who will be booted out in tonight’s live eviction? More catching up with how the civilians are getting on too. We bet it’s like a house on fire, ahem.

Saturday 11 June

Titanic - 6.20pm on Channel 4

Leo, Kate and that Celine Dion song that will stay in your heads forever. What’s not to love about this 1997 (almost 20 years old!) flick, which put Kate Winslet on the map and made us all visit the cinema about 100 times? It’s the story of a 17-year-old aristocrat who falls in love with a kind, but poor, artist – aboard the ill-fated R.M.S Titanic. The story is told by Rose – 84 years in the future and now 101-years-old. The special effects are fantastic, the tale moving, the characters awesome. It is quite possibly one of the greatest films of all time.

Cats & Dogs - 4.55pm on ITV

Jeff Goldblum and Miriam Margoyles appear in this film, which came hot on the heels of the Babe and Dr Dolittle movies. Unknown to humans, a secret war has been raging between cats and dogs for donkeys’ years, but a fragile truce has long held the order of the animal kingdom in place. Not anymore, thanks to a mad professor (Goldblum) and his plan to make all humans allergic to hounds…

I Know What You Did Last Summer - 11.35pm on BBC1

The all-star cast of Jennifer Love Hewitt et al sees a group of high school kids terrorised by a mystery stalker after they cover up a hit and run they were involved in. This is also where Freddie Prince Jr and Sarah Michelle Gellar met. (Cute!)

Sunday 12 June

Educating Joey Essex: Reem Queen At 90 – 8pm on ITV2

Joey Essex
hero

You have to ask what Queen Liz has done to done to deserve a Joey Essex special but here he is in all his perma-grinning glory, celebrating Her Maj’s 90th birthday the only way he knows how – by trying to find out what being a Royal is all abaaaht. Joey meets the likes of Tatler editor Kate Reardon and a Royal super-fan along the way, while also taking elocution lessons and learning to play polo. I say!

Interview With A Murderer – 9pm on Channel 4

In 1978, paperboy Carl Bridgewater was shot in the head while visiting a farm on his round. In this chilling docu, criminologist Prof David Wilson conducts a series of revealing interviews with convicted murderer Bert Spencer – the man never charged with, yet wildly suspected of, being the child killer.

Love Island - 9pm on ITV2

It’s week three, and time to catch up with who’s been “pied off”. How “sick” various things are, and how Zara won Miss Great Britain (but she never mentions it). Caroline Flack trying to get down with the kids whenever she pops up to present something is still a bit cringe however.

Powder Room - 11.05pm on Film4

Set entirely in a ladies’ loos, this is an entertaining exposé of what goes on behind the closed doors of such a place; a world entirely mysterious to men. Weird and wonderful characters feature – from novice party girls to seasoned ravers, and it stars Sheridan Smith plus Jaime Winstone.
