In last night’s episode of EastEnders, we watched as characters bid a sad farewell to Jim Branning.
From Max Branning’s angry outburst over his ‘racist’ grandfather, to Dot’s moving eulogy for her beloved husband, the service was packed full of emotional scenes.
But, weirdly enough, the most memorable part of Jim’s goodbye was, by far, when Sonia Fowler decided to stand up and start singing Frank Sinatra classic My Way.
Yes, really.

It was basically a sombre twist on the wedding from Love Actually, wasn’t it?
Only, you know, without the trumpets. Or the trained gospel choir. Or the happy smiling faces.
Anyway, while we kind of liked it (hey, at least it was entertaining!), we were in a minority.
