During Sunday night’s edition of the ITVBe reality show, a devastated Chloe Lewis struggled to hold back the tears as she ended things with long-term love Jake Hall – after finding out he’d shared a secret snog with newcomer Verity.
It was Lydia Bright who dropped the Verity bombshell on Chloe, after finding out the news from boyfriend James Argent.
Following Chloe and Jake’s dramatic confrontation, Verity received huge backlash on Twitter for appearing unabashed about her part in the break-up.
But Vas, 26, has defended his friend. Tweeting her support for Chloe, Lydia, 25, wrote: “This is exactly what I said she [Verity] doesn’t sound very appealing to me!! Well done @ChloeLewis01 very proud of you. #YouCantBuyClass [sic].”
Blogger Vas responded cattily: “@LydiaRoseBright When will you realize that know body cares or needs your approval, go to bed Lydia zzz [sic].”
Lydia simply replied: “Getting brave behind your keyboard as always Vas.”
But Vas then turned on Chloe, writing: “Lauren [Pope], Verity and Jake are my REAL friends on and off camera. I’d be surprised if Lydia even has Chloe L’s number. These fake friendships.”
Quick to dismiss his accusations, Chloe tweeted: “Yes Vas I’ve actually known Lydia for a very long time & nothing about our friendship is fake. I don’t get my friends into trouble.”
Despite his support for Verity, Lauren and Jake, Vas admitted that they’d maybe handled the situation badly.
He added: “My friends have made questionable choices on this show and haven’t been painted in the best of light; but unfortunately that is good TV [sic].”
