It’s not every day you hit the big 3 – 0, but to have TWO Strictly Come Dancing contestants ringing in the land mark year on the same day seems even more special.

And that’s exactly what has happened this year as both TV host Ore Oduba and Olympic star Greg Rutherford have kissed goodbye to their 20s at the same time.

The pair have been celebrating on social media and have even set plans to ambush this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing Blackpool ballroom weekend show to party in style.

Ore was the first to take the birthday lead, tweeting to Greg: "Happy Birthday my twin brother from another mother."

Greg followed up the sentiment, sharing a photo of them both wearing tight fitting ‘shants’ (aka, shirts sewn into pants as worn week after week on the BBC dance show) and hailed Ore as the "dancing king" of Strictly.

This weekend the remaining contestants on the show will be ferried to Blackpool – the spiritual home of UK ballroom – for the annual show that is broadcast live from the opulent Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Special guest stars include Rick Astley and Simple Minds who are set to perform on the show alongside remaining contestants Claudia Fragapane, Danny Mac, Ed Balls, Judge Rinder and Louise Redknapp.

However there is a chance Ore and Greg might start off on the back foot after vowing to go wild on the drive up the M6.

"It’s so ridiculous to me that I’m sharing a birthday with an Olympian, on the bus to Blackpool to dance in Strictly at the weekend. That sentence would never make sense at any other time of my life," Ore told The Sun.

"It’s a memory we will frame forever. We’ll all be travelling to Blackpool so expect it to be a bit of a party bus," he teased.

Don’t celebrate too hard, boys. We’ve heard of murder on the dancefloor but we’d prefer not to see vomit on there.

Ore stands in good stead to make it all the way to dance off with the Strictly crown holding the top score of the 2016 competition so far.

Back in week four he and dance partner Joanne Clifton wowed the judges with a jive and scooped a total of 39 points after scoring perfect 10s from Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli – although Craig Revel Horwood only awarded nine.

Only Louise Redknapp has scored the same score so far with her and dance partner Kevin Clifton’s Argentine Tango in week seven (again Craig R-H was the only one who gave a nine while the other judges awarded perfect 10s).

So far Greg and his dance partner Natalie Lowe’s top score has been 32 – which he was awarded in both week seven and week three for a Viennese Waltz and American Smooth respectively.

He dodged elimination last weekend when his passable Paso Doble (awarded a not terrible 31 points) left him in a dance off with Daisy Lowe and Aljiaz Skorjanec – which the model lost.

Ore had been in the bottom two the week before after his Salsa scooped 38 points from the judges, but it was Laura Whitmore who was given the boot that week.
