Relationship #goals

Danny Dyer Jo Mas

Sometimes we get so absorbed in the land of our beloved soaps that it's pretty hard to imagine our favourite characters in the outside world.

And because they're all such great actors who form such great partnerships (Mick and Linda Carter, for example) it's tricky to imagine their real-life partners sitting at home.

Once in a blue moon, soap-stars will collide and fall in love on set, taking their relationship to the real world - just like Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.

Most of the time though, the steamy scenes and emotionally charged arguments we see on screen are all FAKE.

Here are the ladies and gents that have captured our favourite soap-stars hearts.

Danny Dyer and Joanne Mas

soapstar partners

Danny and Jo are the definition of childhood sweethearts. They met way back when they were just 14-years-old, weathering every single storm that has come their way over the years...

Danny has previously admitted to being unfaithful to Joanna in the past, leading to horrible break-ups and regret.

Referring to those dark times, Danny admitted in his book 'Life Lessons from the East End' they were "the worst times of my life."

"I was utterly and completely lost, doing mad, self-destructive things that seemed like fun at the time but, looking back, were just covering up how unhappy I was."

Everything is perfect in the Dyer household now though as the pair just can't live without one another. They have three beautiful kids - Dani, Sunnie, and Arty - together, and are planning to wed this year after Joanne popped the question back in 2015.

"I know we will get old – if we’re lucky – and one of us will have to spend time without the other one. I hope it’s me who goes first. In that way, she makes me a coward."

D'awwwww.

Tina O'brien and Adam Crofts

soapstar partners

Tina O'Brien once dated her Coronation Street co-star Ryan Thomas; the pair got married and had a lovely little girl, Scarlett, together. But things didn't work out and Tina has now settled with business development manager Adam Crofts.

They have a 19-month-old son Beau together, and got engaged this year in a hotel room in Manchester.

She told OK!: 'My heart was hammering, I opened the door and Adam was standing there in his shirt and all smartly dressed. There were candles all around the room and flowers and petals on the bed in the shape of a heart.

'He immediately got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He said lots of lovely words but I can’t remember any of them.'

Super cute!

Matthew Wolfenden and Charley Webb

soapstar partners

OK, so sometimes workplace romances really do last – as Charley (Debbie Dingle) and Matthew (David Metcalfe) have proved – after they fell in love on the set of Emmerdale.

They have two delightful children together and reports have suggested that they're even trying for a third.

Kellie Bright and Paul Stocker

It's genuinely impossible to find a picture of these two. FACT.

Kellie Bright keeps her family life firmly under wraps, including her marriage to fellow actor Paul Stocker.

However, eagle-eyed fans spotted Paul making his EastEnders debut last week as he made a sneaky appearance in the Bobby Beale storyline – playing DS Howard South, the man responsible for Bobby's arrest.
