The poor pup was actually mistaken for a pile of rubbish by one passer-by, before he was rescued by the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals.
After being badly neglected, he was unrecognisable as a dog
Unbelievably, matted and dirty fur made up more than 50% of the dog’s size before he was cleaned up.

The rescuers shaved off all of the body hair and discovered an adorable little man underneath.
The dog was understandably a little bit scared of the clippers and definitely wasn’t used to being pampered, but the results were amazing!

Thankfully, the dog now lives indoors and is being cared for.
