Sam Aston has suffered heartbreak the day after marrying Briony Gardner following the death of his beloved dog
New wife Briony, who Sam has been engaged to since 2017, shared the heartbreaking news that pup Buddy had passed away on her Instagram stories.
“Today we lost another member of our herd,” she captioned an adorable throwback photo of their three dogs from March 2015. “Sweet dreams Buddy, now you can lick every cushion in the sky”.
The couple wed over the weekend in front of Coronation Street co-stars Brooke Vincent, Katie McGlynn and Alan Halsall – who used the event as an opportunity to FINALLY go public with his rumoured girlfriend Tisha Merry, who also starred on the soap up until 2017.
Chesney was pictured welcoming guests to the ceremony over the weekend dressed in a dark velvet suit and bow-tie, although Briony’s dress was kept firmly under wraps.

Alan Halsall CONFIRMS romance with Coronation Street co-star
The cast of Corrie have been rocked by a spate of high profile resignations over the past few months, including Kym Marsh, Faye Brookes and Tristan Gemmill, among others.
“No one has been particularly happy since former show boss Kate Oates left,” a source told The Sun.
“There are lots of scheduling issues and the workload has become very difficult to manage with six episodes a week.
“There are now lots of unhappy people who are jumping ship but many of them are ‘putting a spin on it’ publicly because they don’t want to upset their mates left trying to save the show.
“It’s not a great time to work on the show."
