S Club 7 ‘to reunite for Children In Need’

Fans of 90s/early 2000s pop, it's the news we've all been waiting for – S Club 7 are back.

The band sparked rumours this weekend that their long-awaited return was on the horizon, after a verified Twitter account for them appeared.

And now it's been reported that Rachel Stevens, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearitt, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh, Paul Cattermole and Jon Lee will reunite next month to perform a medley of their hits on Children In Need.

A source told The Sun: "The reunion is definitely on but everyone involved wants a massive launchpad, which is why Children In Need would be perfect.

"It could still fall through because there are the diaries of seven people to work around, but it's looking positive.

"The idea is for them to perform a greatest hits medley, including S Club Party and Reach. If the reaction is good a tour will be announced."

News of the planned reunion comes after Paul took to Twitter in August to hint that the reunion was closer than we thought.

He wrote: "Big thanks too everyone for your support with the S Club Re-union … Sorry guys I'm not confirming the S's Re-Union. I'm just saying thanks coz there have been thousands of messages over the last year.

Rachel teased a reunion earlier this year

"But it's God Damn close, I can almost… Reach… The sword [sic]"

Speaking of the band getting back together earlier this year, Rachel told the Metro: "We keep in touch. I haven't seen them for a while but we're always texting and tweeting and keeping in touch.

"It's always bubbling in the background talking about us getting back together."
