In Monday night's episode of EastEnders, Peggy Mitchell was finally laid to rest after committing suicide six weeks ago. Her decisicon was a final bid to be in control of her own destiny, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

We were all dreading saying goodbye to our iconic East End landlady.

Over the past few weeks we had to watch that emotional scenes of Peggy and her beloved son Phil Mitchell on the Thames and witness the former landlady of the Queen Vic reunite with her old friend Pat Butcher before she committed suicide.

However, nothing prepared us for the extremely sad funeral scenes as the Mitchell's came together to say goodbye to Peggy (Barbara Windsor).

Viewers got an even bigger shock when Grant showed up - even if he was just watching from a distance - as his sister Sam Mitchell (Daniella Westbrook) told everyone that her brother would not be attending the funeral.

However, it seems like Grant changed his mind and just might be staying around for a while, too.

Grant was going to be returning for a few episodes, but legendary actor Ross Kemp confirmed on Twitter that he WILL be back soon - which viewers werer very excited about.

He wrote: "Thanks for all the Grant tweets! He WILL be back! #Eastenders @bbceastenders."

And responding to a fan as to whether it was the last we’d see of the actor as Grant, Ross replied: "it’s not the last you’ll see of Grant!"

Even though the episode was very emotional, Phil (Steve McFadden) did bring a smile to everyone's face during his speech.
