Rochelle Humes confirms Xtra Factor presenter job

Rochelle Humes has confirmed she’ll be taking over as presenter of The Xtra Factor this year.

The 26-year-old took to Twitter to share the news, revealing that she and Kiss FM DJ Melvin Odoom will be fronting the show.

Singer Rochelle wrote: “So excited to land my dream job & with one of my best boys @Melvinodoom! Can’t wait to start #XtraFactor @TheXFactor [sic].

“I’m beyond excited to join the brilliant team and to be a part of the contestants #TheXFactor experience! [sic].”

Rochelle and Melvin will replace Sarah-Jane Crawford, who presented the ITV2 spinoff show for one series last year.

As well as her success with girl band The Saturdays, Rochelle has enjoyed multiple mainstream presenting jobs over the past couple of years.

She and husband Marvin, 30, regularly host ITV’s This Morning, she co-presents Ninja Warrior UK and is a team captain on BBC Three’s Sweat The Small Stuff.

JLS singer Marvin tweeted his congratulations for his wife and Melvin, writing: “SO proud of @RochelleHumes and my brother from another mother @MelvinOdoom your new #TheXtraFactor hosts @thexfactor [sic]”
