Ricky Norwood is currently making a pretty good impression over on Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother.
And during a frank conversation with fellow housemate Renee Graziano where they dicussed the sex scandal that nearly cost him his acting career on EastEnders, Ricky (Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb) claimed that the situation left him battling "deep depression".
Ricky was suspended from EastEnders back in 2014 after a video was leaked of the star smoking marijuana and allegedly performing a sex act on Skype.
BBC bosses decided to suspend Ricky from filming for two months when the incriminating pictures of him first came to light and he later made a public apology.
Revealing that he didn't know at the time he was suffering from depression, Ricky confessed that his anxiety was so high that he didn't want to leave the house.
He revealed to Renee: "I went into deep depression; I didn't want to leave my house. I got suspended from my job for two months; I held my hands up.
"When it came to the end of the contract, it was end of the contract. Normally I'd get a renewal."
He also explained that his time on EastEnders transformed his career: "I was only supposed to be there for three months; I was there just under six years."
One of his EastEnders co-stars, Danny Dyer, recently admitted that he thought it was a shame that Ricky had to enter the Big Brother house.
Replying back to a fan asking who he thinks should win CBB, Danny replied: “Gotta be Ricky. Wasted talent. Shame he had to go down this route. I get it though.....Gotta earn them readies.”
Ricky is currently facing the threat of tonight’s double eviction.
