Synopsis:
Journalist Storm Saunders has always wanted to be a showbiz reporter, so when she’s offered her dream job on a national newspaper she jumps at the chance.
The only downside – her creepy ex boyfriend Dermot also works at the paper.
Suddenly she’s going to fabulous parties, interviewing A-Listers and living the life she’s always wanted. And then she meets Nico, the celebrity chef.
When she’s asked to go undercover to sting Nico, Storm agrees only to stop his secrets being revealed. But she didn’t bank on falling in love with him.
Storm tries to fight her feelings for Nico, but Dermot is determined to see both of them fall.
Suddenly everything Storm had ever wanted is shaping up to be the exact opposite.
What’s right with it?
Just like the nine novels before it, Make My Wish Come True is the perfect sizzling, guilty pleasure read. It makes a nice change for one of Katie’s books to feature a journalist as the main character, rather than a model, singer or actress. Trust us – you won’t be able to put it down!
What’s wrong with it?
Katie’s books are never going to be considered intellectual reads, and parts of the story seem a bit predictable. The ending is a bit rushed, but at least it’s a happy one.
