The clocks went forward this weekend, leaving all us in various states of confusion and over-excitement. Here's how we handled that whole

Clocks go forward

So the clocks went forward on Sunday.

Which meant that, on Saturday, lots of us were going around screaming "DO THEY GO FORWARD OR BACK? FORWARD OR BACK?!" at people we barely know.

And then there was that big fat blissful moment some of us thought we'd get an extra hour in bed…

… before someone sung "spring forward, fall back" at us and we realised that, in fact, it WASN'T 'the good one'. Yup, we were going to lose an hour.

One whole wonderful hour. GONE!

Ugh.

Cue plenty of people scrabbling around with clocks before bed, trying to figure out all those complicated buttons and mechanisms in a bid to just MAKE THEM TELL THE RIGHT TIME, DAMN IT!

And then there were those of us sat staring out our mobile phones, trying desperately to figure out if the damn thing would reset itself during the night. Like, y'know, we figured a "smart" phone would.

We're not gonna lie; some of us DID crack under the pressure a teeny-weeny bit.

And some of us, more organised (and more smug) than others, couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.

Eventually - FINALLY - we got to bed. Not that we slept well.

And, come morning, there was that beautiful moment we woke up and sort of forgot all about this clock nightmare…

It lasted, ooh, about two seconds. Because then we were running around trying to figure out the REAL ACTUAL time and figure out how late we really were to meet our mums for Sunday lunch.

Some of us rang our friends and demanded they tell us what time it was…

Other, more tech-savvy people, grabbed the remote controls and relied on the little clock on Sky to tell us what was going on.

Not gonna lie… a lot of us were caught out by it all.

But at least we hadn't done as SOME unlucky souls had and accidentally set our clocks forward by TWO hours.

Those people were just heartbroken when they'd found out what had happened.

Ah well, it's all over now. Cue brighter evenings and the start of summer.

Huzzah!
