PICTURED: Disturbing Disney death theory about Monsters Inc’s Sully confirmed?

As every die-hard Disney fan will know, the Pixar animators love to scatter clues and Easter eggs across all of their movies.

It’s a way for them to reference old films, to hint at upcoming movies, and to link each and every single movie in the Pixar universe together.

But, just sometimes, they also take the opportunity to mess with our childhood memories a little bit.

In the Toy Story short-film Partysaurus Rex, we see Bonnie getting ready for some bath time fun with Woody, Buzz and the gang.

All innocent enough… until your eyes drift over to the toilet seat cover.

The very FURRY toilet seat cover.

Check it out:

Yup, it looks pretty similar to the turquoise and purple-spotted fur of Sully, from Monsters Inc.

But would they really have killed off Sully?

Erm, well yes, apparently.

Back in the original Monsters Inc movie, Sully and Randall are seen having a conversation about the human world - and, in the conversation, Randall mentions a disturbing urban legend about our world.

"I heard humans skin monsters and make toilet covers out of their fur,” he tells a disbelieving Sully.

Oh dear.

Hmm.

Maybe… maybe it’s just a coincidence, eh?

If your kids stumble across this extremely dark little nugget, tell them that the toilet seat cover was synthetic. Or that he donated some of his fur to his favourite little gal (other than Boo) so that she could decorate her brightly-coloured bathroom to her desire.

Tell them anything. But make sure you tell them that Sully is alive and well and living on a farm somewhere with Mike.

It’s better than the chilling alternative, eh?
