Don't Tell The Bride, as many of us know, is the hit reality TV show which features hapless grooms being given full reign of their wedding.

Separated from their brides for three entire weeks - and reunited only on their wedding day - the show has brought us nothing but mayhem, with one near miss in Las Vegas (actual quote: "YOU'VE RIPPED OUR FAMILY APART!") and one alien-themed wedding in a bunker.

Not to mention other gems, such as this ransom note wedding invite...

Now, sadly, all of that is about to end - as BBC3 are officially cancelling the show.

Speaking about the decision, BBC Director Of Television Danny Cohen said that when BBC3 moves online-only in 2015, they’d be ditching Don’t Tell The Bride in favour of scripted comedies and factual documentaries. Which sounds a bit dry, to us.

“We will be making a lot less of shows that fill the mid-evening schedule, shows that I really like, some of which I commissioned,” he said today.

“Those features and format shows that did a great job, helped to build our schedule, but in a world of tough choices we will focus on the comedy and serious factual and make less of those features and formats. That’s where we find the saving."

Whatever the reason, fans are stricken at the wedding disaster show-shaped hole in their television schedules - and we're not sure the excuse of budget cuts is going to fly with them.

Exactly, Heather. Exactly.
