The original cast of Grease will be reuniting for the film's 40th anniversary next year
Grease star Olivia Newton-John has revealed that the original cast of Grease are reuniting for the 40th anniversary of the film next year.
Don't worry, it's not going to be anything like THAT sequel.
No, this is definitely going to feature Olivia and John Travolta as their characters Sandy and Danny from the 1978 film.
As she went to collect the Icon Award at the Fame Awards at Hard Rock Live in Las Vegas, she announced: "We are thinking up ways. Nothing to announce yet.
"Forty years anniversary of Grease, which I can't believe. Time goes so fast. It is so exciting."
EEK.
This could be Olivia's last chance to revisit Sandra Dee, as she also announced that she was considering retiring from show business after a 50-year career.
She said: "As time goes on I think of doing less and having more time off."
However - then she said: "Every year for the last 20 years, I thought I was retiring and then somebody would say, 'How about this?' and it's like, 'Oh, that looks fun,' or 'How about this?' - things that I would never think about."
So who knows - but we're VERY excited to see what they rustle up next year.
We just have one burning question... Are the other Pink Ladies and T-Birds going to be starring too?
Stockard Channing, who played Rizzo, is still acting - having appeared in a controversial episode of Urban Myths alongside Joseph Fiennes.
Sadly, Jeff Conaway who played Kenickie passed away in 2011 as a result of substance abuse.
But will the rest of the lads and lasses be joining the cast? Watch this space...
