Jurassic World broke box office records when it hit cinemas this year, cashing in on a cool £337 million for its opening weekend.

So it’s unsurprising that Universal have announced that a sequel to Jurassic World will be released on Friday, June 22, 2018.

And, before anyone starts to panic too much, don’t; Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will BOTH be back for the dino-studded flick.

Steven Spielberg will also be back as executive producer, and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow will be writing the script.

It all sounds like a recipe for success, in our opinion!

Sadly, an official title for the sequel and a director have yet to be announced, so we don’t know too much about the story.

We imagine it will be set relatively soon after the events of the first film, which saw a genetically-modified dinosaur escape to terrorise theme park guests on Isla Nublar.

Fingers crossed that they don’t have to face THAT toothy monster again, eh?
