Last night, viewers watched as Kat and Alfie Moon found out they had won a cool £1 million after spending a day together in London rekindling their marriage.

And now the National Lottery have taken to Twitter to congratulate everybody’s favourite soap couple, writing: “Congratulations to Albert Square’s Alfie and Kat on becoming millionaires!

“Good news travels fast. #EastEnders”

And they linked the tweet to a hilarious video, featuring the soap’s late Barry Evans (Shaun Williamson).

Yeah, you remember him, don’t you? Janine Butcher pushed him down a hill. And then he died.

If you need a reminder (and if you do, then you’re not a real EastEnders fan), check out the video below:

Good times, eh? Well, not for Barry so much.

Anyway, as it turns out, he’s alive and well - and he has a VERY interesting proposal for his newly-flushed Walford residents.

Check it out:

Wind-powered cars.

Well, let’s face it, that’s not the worst idea Barry has ever come up with.

Anyway, Alfie (Shane Richie) - being the savvy type - wisely hangs up on Barry and returns to celebrating with Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Stacey (Lacey Turner).

We presume the windfall will spark their exit from Albert Square, as the pair embark on a trip to Ireland for a six-part spin-off series.

Anyone else wondering if Kat’s secret son (aka Zoe’s twin) might be involved in the spin-off?

And, if so, could it be the case that Sean Slater is actually Kat’s little boy, not Jean’s?

Apparently so. Fingers crossed that our favourite Walford heartthrob could be making a return then…

EastEnders continues tonight (Friday) at 8pm on BBC One.
