This Morning has welcomed a new puppy called Digby and viewers are already in love with him.

Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby introduced the Labrador-Retriever Cross during their first day back on the show, and explained to viewers that he's going to have a "very important job in the future".

Speaking about the new arrival in the This Morning studio, Phil explained: "He's from the charity Goods For Good – they've trained dogs to assist people in need, such as disabled people and autistic children.

"He could also work in a hospital to help people with their recovery. He's the first male puppy with a purpose we've had on This Morning."

How cute is he?!

The adorable 12 week old pup already has almost 10,000 followers on Instagram!

And it's not just his Insta followers who are super excited about Digby's arrival. When he ran onto the set, Holly could be seen jiggling up and down with excitement, and looked visibly gobsmacked at how cute he was.

She then went on to post a picture of Digby on her own Instagram, with the caption, "I love you already."

Awww. So do we.

Digby follows in the footsteps of Luna, who was This Morning's resident dog until July, where she moved on from the programme in an emotional farewell which included balloons and a montage of her best bits.
