X FACTOR: CHERYL 'FORCED' TO BRING BACK CHLOE-JASMINE

The rumours have always been there, but 31-year-old Cheryl and Louis, 61, have always attempted to deny the fact they're not on good terms.

According to Mel, 39, she's even been seated in between the two of them to stop them from arguing.

CHERYL BOOED DURING SIX-CHAIR CHALLENGE, AS SIMON SAYS: "WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A RIOT"

He replied: "We do. It's just stories in the paper. We do."

But Mel, who we all know is sometimes too honest, quipped: "No you don't. No you don't. I sit in between them."

She then jokingly added: "That's an exclusive."

Simon said Cheryl didn't want Louis to be a judge this year

Attempting to defend himself, Louis said: "I like her more this year. I think she's in a good place this year."

We can't say we blame Louis for not being very fond of Geordie Cheryl, after boss Simon Cowell, 55, admitting she didn't want the Irish music manager to return to the panel.

Earlier this year, Si said: "[Cheryl] doesn't want Louis to come back, but he'll be back."

And Cheryl herself commented: "We'll work together but there's no love lost. We agree to disagree."

Anyone else really looking forward to watching this feud unfold over the next couple of months?
