He's been cleared of all charges
Emmerdaleactor Mark Jordan has broken his silence following the sandal that saw him arrested last year for allegedly attacking an OAP in a pub beer garden.
The star, who plays nice guy Daz Spencer on the soap, has described the last 12 months as a “year of hell” following the false accusations.
“Oh my goodness, it was a long year,” he told Good Morning Britain. "It was a year where you see social media as is the way at the moment, everybody labelling you something you weren’t.
“I do have a reputation of being a good character and a nice bloke, to suddenly be labelled as something that is quite villainous and aggressive and all these statements that get made about you. It just turns your world upside down.”

“I feel very blessed that at the end of this, I feel I’ve gained an education,” he added. “The people around you, you always take for granted and you accept the love you’ve got. But this year has been incredible to find out who supports you and who will stand and be counted.
“To have friends and colleagues, commit to coming to court to being there the whole way through, it’s been an eye-opener and I’m very lucky.”
Mark initially faced the charges last year when an elderly punter first accused him of attacking and biting him at a pub in Oldham.
"He was like a wild animal," the alleged victim said at the time. "He bit me three times and went for my eye."

It's then claimed an off-duty police officer intervened in the fight - which reportedly saw three people requiring medical treatment - resulting in Mark's later arrest.
But Mark was not suspended from his role as Daz on Emmerdale, with ITV bosses choosing to await a “guilty” verdict before taking action.
“Producers have spent a lot of time weighing up what to do about the situation...” an Insider told The Sun.
“They understand it’s a very serious situation but they don’t think suspending him will help anything — especially while legal matters are still ongoing.
“Daz has a key part on the Emmerdale farm and they’re hoping he can carry on appearing on the show."
