I'm A Celebrity usually gives us an opportunity to watch Z-listers chow down on witchetty grubs, kangaroo testicles and the like but, this year, the show has been dominated by disagreements, cattiness and bullying.
"She's got a different background whereas we're just ordinary people"
Amy Willerton has proven to be very unpopular with her female contestants during her time in the jungle, with many of them judging her based on her career as a beauty queen and assuming she would have a "mean girl" personality to go with her good looks.
Rebecca Adlington summed up THAT sentiment when she said: "I thought I would get along least with Amy. I thought you were a bimbo but you've been the opposite of that, you definitely changed my opinion on the industry and you have the brains and the beauty."
But at least Rebecca was able to readdress her preconceptions; her fellow female contestants have not been so forgiving...
Lucy Pargeter, Laila Morse and Annabel Giles have been portrayed as disliking Amy, bullying her over her apparent laziness, whispering that she was a "c**t" when they thought nobody could hear them and cutting her off whenever she tried to defend herself, with Lucy at one point snapping "go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep…" over and over again, until Amy gave up.

It goes without saying that the "Amy doesn't do anything" claim is a bit… well, it's a bit rubbish. Especially when you consider the fact that, when she tried to help out with the drying up, Laila "just had to" take over because Amy was doing it too slowly.
And, last night, it all came to a head at last.
Many of the celebrities had expressed concern and resentment that Amy could be putting the group’s already rationed dinner allowances into jeopardy if she was caught with the concealer she had smuggled into camp - despite the fact that many of the girls have been sharing the contraband makeup.
However on the advice of Alfonso, Amy handed in the banned concealer at the Bush Telegraph, admitting she was hurt that everyone had said nasty things about her when she wasn't around, rather than discuss it directly with her, as Alfonso had.
"I work in the modelling industry and compete in pageants and not once have I experienced cattiness like I have in here"
“I feel extremely disappointed that whoever has mentioned about this contraband has done so while I was away. It was a concealer that has been shared, it’s really upsetting when I know that this has been used by more than one person not just by me and we were so careful with it.”
“If Alfonso and David hadn’t told me what was going on I would have been left in the sh**. I work in the modelling industry and compete in pageants and not once have I experienced cattiness like I have in here and it is from women who are a lot older than me and it just makes me feel extremely disappointed.”
When Amy exited the Bush Telegrapg, Rebecca provided a shoulder to cry on, reassuring Amy and saying: "They are not saying nasty things, apart from the fact they are disappointed in you for not handing it in."
But Amy confessed it wasn't just about the makeup, adding: "The other women snap at me constantly.
"You might not have noticed it but they whisper so much and are making me paranoid. I just think I haven’t done anything."
With a little encouragement from Rebecca, Amy decided to broach the subject with Lucy: “The way it was put to me yesterday was that you were leading a campaign of hate against me.”
“Who said that?” asked Lucy angrily.“Was it Al? That is twisting, it wasn’t a hatred campaign, and it was the fact that everyone felt the same, things are being twisted here.
"I’m always girls stick together and a couple of days you were lounging around and doing nothing.
"We all stink and look like shit and when I feel someone is keeping something from the team, I get pissed off."
"That is twisting, it wasn’t a hatred campaign, and it was the fact that everyone felt the same"
The two girls then hugged it out, suggesting they'd cleared the air - but, later, Lucy admitted that things were far from over.
She later told Eastenders actress Laila Moss that she suspected Fresh Prince star Alfonso Ribeiro was behind it all.
She added: “It was very interesting what she said, everyone likes to get the spoon out don’t they?
"How dare he say that it was me, it was everybody.
“I’m apparently the ring leader and running a hate campaign against her.”
It's not just Alfonso who thinks Amy has been bullied by the older women in camp though; last week, Vincent Simone, Alfonso Ribeiro and David Emanuel discussed the situation openly, admitting that they felt sorry for the pageant star.
"I feel a bit sorry for Amy," said Vincent.
"In my opinion she’s been ganged up on," said Alfonso.
"People snap at her," agreed David. "It basically boils down to jealousy. You can’t win."
Vincent went to talk to Amy. "I just want you to know that I’ve seen what’s around. The way they treat you. It’s very unfair."
"I was worried it was me being paranoid," said Amy gratefully. "I’m 21, they’re a lot older than me and they’re acting younger than me. Sometimes I want to say something."
"Sometimes beautiful women have to prove themselves more... Keep smiling," David then told Amy.
"I’m 21, they’re a lot older than me and they’re acting younger than me"
Laila Morse - or Mo, as she's better known - was voted out of the jungle last night and, despite laughing when she was shown a clip of herself saying mean things about Amy, became quite sombre when she saw an upset Amy in the Bush Telegraph.
When pressed by Ant and Dec about the incident, she said: "I don't think she's disliked. She's got a different background whereas we're just ordinary people.
"I don't talk like her, she's got a nice voice!"
Class is NOT a good enough reason to dislike someone, mo. Seriously.
Fingers crossed that, now the air has been cleared, the jungle contestants can stop sniping at Amy and get back down to making us laugh with their squeamish screaming.
