The 28-year-old rapper – real name Kwasi Danquah III – is reportedly using the show as a platform to 'make him a household name'.
An I'm a Celeb insider told the Mirror: "Tinchy always has been up for a new challenge and likes the idea of doing the show and getting a new audience for his music and business interest.
"He has been described as the 'ultimate working class boy done good' because of his success in music and business ventures and he saw this as another opportunity so we expect him to grab it with both hands.
"Bosses are hoping he will tell some anecdotes about his A-list friends and also get flirty with some of the single females in there too."
Tinchy has enjoyed huge success with his music, having had number one hits with N-Dubz and Amelle Berrabah, and he also co-owns businesses, including a record label, with Jay-Z.
He will join other 'confirmed' names Gemma Collins, Mel Sykes, Jake Quickenden and Josie Cunningham in the jungle.
It is also rumoured that Mark Wright's fiancé Michelle Keegan will be going Down Under, along with her former boyfriend Max George.
