Former Coronation Street actress Lucy-Jo Hudson has bagged herself a new role in Hollyoaks
Lucy-Jo starred in Corrie for three years as Katy Harris. Her character was involved in some huge storylines, including a relationship with Martin Platt who was 20 years her senior. Katy was killed off in 2005 when she committed suicide after struggling to live with the guilt of murdering her father.

Since leaving the Cobbles behind Lucy-Jo has had roles in ITV drama Wild At Heart and Doctors, where her portrayal of Rhiannon Davis earned her a 2017 British Soap Award for Villain of the Year.

Joining the show in summer, Lucy was star as Donna-Marie and Hollyoaks bosses have teased that she's a reckless woman desperately trying to hide a heart-breaking past.
Not only will Donna-Marie appear in the village but she'll arrive alongside her son Romeo and it's clear that things won't be plain sailing as the pair have a fractured relationship.
During his time in Oaks, viewers will see how Romeo flits from place to place in search of random money-making projects to support his wayward mum. This summer he'll joins forces withPrince McQueen for a get-rich-quick scheme hosting summer raves.
Lucy-Jo and husband Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street, recently announced their divorce but the pair are still thought to be on good terms.
“Al know she got it and couldn’t be happier for her. The split is really amicable and they are still very good friends,” the insider revealed.
The former co-stars met on the Corrie set in 2002 and tied the knot seven years later. Their daughter Sienna was born four years ago.
"I can confirm that Al and I are in the process of divorcing," Hudson told the Manchester Evening News through her agent. "We remain friends and devoted Mummy and Daddy to our daughter Sienna.
"We would appreciate privacy so that we can focus on Sienna's continued happiness."
The couple split once before in 2016, vowing to “remain close friends” but later decided to save their marriage and reconciled.
