Loose Women has announced a special programme which will air in November starring a national treasure.

Fans of Sir Cliff Richard are in for a treat, as it seems a whole episode of Loose Women dedicated to the 76-year-old singer is in the pipeline. The news was announced this afternoon on the programme by Gloria Hunniford, who said that the episode will be broadcast on November 15. The ladies explained that the show will feature the singer performing live and talking about his new album.

They are also looking for Sir Cliff's biggest fan, and people with Cliff Richard memorabilia from through the years.

In a video message to the viewers on the programme, Sir Cliff Richard said: “I am so excited because I’ve just heard that Loose Women are going to do a Cliff Richard special on Tuesday 15th November. I’m thrilled! Loose Women I’m sure you’ve got a lot of things planned for me, should I be worried? I hope not! I can’t wait to be there.”

Sir Cliff is also scheduled to address MPs and members of the House of Lords soon as part of a campaign to change laws around the naming of those suspected of sex crimes. The singer was the subject of a South Yorkshire Police investigation in 2014, but was never arrested. It was announced this year that no charges were to be brought but the singer is understandably upset, and is currently suing the BBC and the South Yorkshire Police.

The star is set to be joined in Parliament by broadcaster Paul Gambaccini another famous face who has been accused of sex offences, but subsequently told there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

What do you think? We're looking forward to it already - watching Cliff doing what he loves and just getting up there and entertaining people.
