Coronation Street star Les Dennis has filmed his final scenes for the ITV soap as his character prepares to make his exit.
The actor, who plays Michael Rodwell, announced he was leaving the show earlier this year.
And he thanked his fellow cast members and fans for their support after recording his dramatic exit earlier this week.
Les tweeted: "Filmed my last scenes on itvcorrie yesterday. Thank you all there for my lovely gifts. Will miss you all."
He added: "I was so moved. Will miss being part of the itvcorrie family. Made so many friends."
This isn’t the first time Les has left the cobbles - he took a sabbatical from the series earlier this year to produce and star in a stage production of Down The Dock Road in Liverpool.
His Corrie character Michael first appeared in Weatherfield as a burglar and began a relationship with Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, who forgave him for his unwanted visit.
He then got a job as a taxi driver for Steve MacDonald’s Street Cars.
But his marriage to Gail hit the rocks when he discovered she had lied to him about his son.
When he announced he was leaving the show in July, Les said: "I always knew that the time would come when I would want the freedom to do more projects, and now feels like the right time.
"The talented team of writers and producers have come up with a very dramatic exit for Michael on the show which will be exciting to film.
"I’ll treasure the two-and-a-half years I have been part of such an iconic show and move on with very fond memories, so many lovely friends and colleagues and an ambition achieved."
